Constructed in 1582, Heydon Hall was acquired nearly two hundred years later by the Bulwer family. Built of rose-red brick, pediments over large windows facing the sun, four ranges of brick chimneys rising from the red-tiled roof, it is a house that still delights the visitor with its warmth and brightness.
