Build your confidence in communication skills, interact with others, enjoy activities, learn about neurodiversity and make friends in a safe, relaxed and friendly environment.
Contribute as much or as little as you wish; there is no pressure!
There will be a different topic each week, focused around learning skills to empower you to better understand yourself and how your neurodivergent brain works. You'll walk away with hints and tips to help you regulate your emotions, communicate effectively and challenge your worries.
There's no need to book: just turn up!
An adult volunteer with experience of working with neurodiversity will be present to lead the sessions, help guide conversation and provide support and learning opportunities for you.
Our volunteer, Lauren, is a Lived Experience Consultant in Neurodiversity and Mental Health. Coming from a career as a HR Director, she has supported companies to make inclusion part of their strategy, with a specialist focus on neuro-inclusivity in the work place.
As a late diagnosed AuDHDer herself, Lauren has had years of insight into how to work with her brain rather than battling against it. Having supported her own young person with similar struggles, Lauren wants to share her learnings and experience with other young people to help equip them to feel confident as a neurodivergent person in a neurotypical world.
