Calibre Audio are a national charity based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire that loan audiobooks to anyone who has a disability that makes reading print difficult. The audiobooks can be borrowed via their streaming and download platforms or posted out on USB memory stick.
Calibre is facilitating audiobook groups locally in Bucks for anyone with disabilities, long-term health conditions, or learning differences that make reading print challenging and one of these meets in Marlow Library on the Third Thursday of each month from 11.30-1.00pm. These are fun, free and informal meetings for those who would like to get together to chat about books using audio as the reading format. There is no obligation, so why not come along to try it out!
If you would like to register your interest for the book group, then speak to a member of Marlow library staff or email
lib-mar@buckinghamshire.gov.uk.
If you want to find out more about Calibre’s service, then contact them by phone on 01296 432339 or via email on enquiries@calibre.org.uk.
