Buckinghamshire Libraries Read 6 for 2026 Reading Challenge Prize Draw – Terms and Conditions
- Promoter: This competition/prize draw is organised by Buckinghamshire Library Service, Buckinghamshire Council (Walton Street Offices), Walton Street, Aylesbury, HP20 1UU. By entering the competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Entry.
- Eligibility: The competition is open to all Buckinghamshire library members aged 16 or over. Employees of Buckinghamshire Council are eligible to take part in Challenge but will not be entered into the competition.
- How to Enter: To enter the competition, participants must have a valid library membership and provide a valid email address. Entree is via the library catalogue here: Home | Buckinghamshire Libraries
- Closing Date: The closing date for entries is 23:59 on Monday 30 November 2026. After this date and time, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
- Responsibility for Entries: Buckinghamshire Council shall not be held responsible for entries not received for any reason, including but not limited to technical issues with the library catalogue.
- Prize Details: The prize consists of a book token. There will be no cash or other alternatives offered. The prize is not transferable. Buckinghamshire Council reserves the right to substitute the prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
- Winner Selection: One winner will be randomly selected from all valid completed Challenge entries. All six goals must be completed to be entered into the prize draw. The draw will take place within 7 working days of the closing date. The winner will be notified by email during the week commencing 7 December 2026. The winner must collect their prize from their local Buckinghamshire Library within one calendar month of notification, after which the prize may be forfeited or awarded to an alternative winner.
- Publicity: Winners will not be publicly announced. The winners may, however, be asked to participate in publicity related to the prize draw, but this will be optional. A signed consent form will be sort if participants consent to publicity.
- Use of Personal Information: By entering the competition, participants give consent for Buckinghamshire Council to process their information for the purpose of administering the competition. Contact details will only be used to notify the winners and will not be shared with any third parties outside of Buckinghamshire Council. - Final Decision: The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Governing Law: The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
- Data Protection: You are providing your information to Buckinghamshire Council. Any information provided will be used in conjunction with our Data Protection Policy, which can be found here: Data Protection Policy.
- One Entry Per Person: Only one entry per person is permitted.
- Cancellation or Amendments: The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions. Any changes to the competition will be communicated to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
