Our library system will be upgrading on Wednesday 22 April 2026 to support improvements to the online services used by our customers. During the upgrade, our main library system will be offline. 

During this time, you will not be able to: 

• Access Library Flex libraries during their unstaffed hours. Staffed hours will be open as usual, but no unstaffed hours will operate at any library on Wednesday 22 April.
• Access your Spydus account online to renew items or pay fines.
• Renew items or pay fines in-branch, in-person.
• Use remote printing features.
• Access the Library Catalogue from home or in the library branch to search for items or make reservations.
• Access the Spydus Library app to manage your account.
  

All items that are due back within the period of the system upgrade will be automatically extended to ensure that customers do not incur any fines due to this work.

As part of the Go All In - National Year of Reading, Buckinghamshire Libraries is celebrating with our Read 6 in 2026 reading challenge for adults. Over the course of the year, read a book from the following categories - we have some suggested titles for each goal, but feel free to choose a title not on our list!

This is a self-paced challenge where you, our avid reader, mark your own progress by logging into your library account and selecting which goals you have completed. Alternatively, tell a member of staff on your next library visit and they will update your challenge progress for you!

At the end of the year, all participants who have completed the challenge will be entered into a prize draw! You can read the Terms and Conditions here.
