The Gazette is the UK's official public record and has been recording national and international events since 1665.

Includes company profiles and statutory notices. Every UK Registered company is included, together with a facility to filter by location, incorporation date and industry type - a useful tool for looking at competitors.


Newspapers and Magazines

Titles from all over the world. PressReader comprises of both newspapers and magazines, whilst Libby accommodates an extensive collection of magazines – all perfect for keeping you and your business up to date.

Borrow up to 5 eBooks or eAudiobooks for 21 days with Libby by OverDrive.

You will need your library card number and PIN to borrow eBooks. 

Your loans automatically expire at the end of the lending period so there are no overdue charges.

iPhone/iPad - Open the App Store app on your device, search for Libby and press the Get button.
Android - Open the Play Store app on your device, search for Libby and press the Install button.


Keep up to date using newspapers and magazines online - UK and worldwide.

You can read newspapers, plus a selection of magazines, and download them to your digital device using PressReader.

You will need your library card number and PIN to use PressReader. You will also need to ensure that Hotspots are enabled to get free access through your Buckinghamshire Libraries membership.

Help getting started with PressReader

On a computer

  1. Go to the PressReader website and select 'sign in'.
  2. Click on the 'Library or Group' button.
  3. Search for 'Buckinghamshire' and select 'Library - Buckinghamshire'.
  4. Type in your library card number and PIN (if your number starts with 'B' do not include it).

On a smartphone or tablet

  1. Go to your app store. Download and install PressReader.
  2. Open the app and tap 'sign in'.
  3. Under the 'sign in with' section tap the 'Library or Group' button. 
    Tap 'Select Library or Group'.
  4. Search for 'Buckinghamshire' and select 'Library - Buckinghamshire'.
    Type in your library card number and PIN

Once you have registered for an account, you have 60 days to use PressReader. Once the time has expired you will need to sign in again for another 60 days. You can repeat this process as often as you like.


Employment and careers

Using the internet is the main way to search for work.

The government has set up a gateway which contains all the help and guidance you need to succeed at www.gov.uk/find-a-job. You can search jobs with jobhelp from Jobcentre Plus and follow your local Jobcentre Plus on Twitter at @JCPThamesValley
